Greetings, New Students

Welcome to our new taekwondo “babies”.

For most of you, this is probably the first time you have tried taekwondo, and we hope that you are enjoying the new experience.

If you have any questions, please talk to Grand Master Yoon, Miss Julie, or any of the senior black belts, who will be glad to help.

We hope you’ll have fun training with us!

Summer Reading Program

Summer break is almost over, and school-age students should have already submitted your reading list to Miss Julie and be well on your way with your summer reading.

A Scheduling Note

We are happy to welcome so many new martial artists to our children’s classes!

But because the classes are sometimes quite full and focus on beginners, we are asking that color belt children attend their own color belt classes only. This way, everyone can concentrate on learning and practicing the techniques at their own skill levels.

If, for some reason, you need to attend at a time that isn’t your regular class, please ask Grand Master or Miss Julie, who will decide if an exception can be made. Thank you!

Hello, Strangers!

After several months’ absences, we are pleased to welcome back two of our higher ranking students: George Kantrales, 3rd degree black belt, and Brandon Sells, probationary black belt. Happy training, guys!

Beat the Heat

During the hot summer months, you are permitted to train wearing a t-shirt instead of the top of your uniform, but it can only be one of our school shirts. They are available in both children’s and adult’s sizes. Please see Miss Julie if you wish to purchase one (or several!)

Calling All Black Belts...

... and black belt “wannabes”.

You should always practice to your best ability, with sharpness and enthusiasm; however, your dedication is even more important in the upcoming months, as promotion testing will take place in the early autumn.

Probationary black belts should be prepared to test at this time.

Several higher level black belts are also expected to test; check with Grand Master to ensure that you have obtained enough credits to qualify.

Please make sure your calendars will be free for this event, we will inform you of the date in the coming weeks.

It’s summertime in Alabama, and many of you spend the time shoeless. But since we all train barefoot, please make sure that your feet are clean before entering the studio for training. Your cooperation is appreciated!
